There are millions of early married girls in Bangladesh who are deprived of basic rights including education, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health and rights. IMAGE project is working since 2014 to ensure a dignified life for married girls, in which they can realize their human rights and potentials. IMAGE Plus is the continuation of the IMAGE I project which will work with 9000 early married girls in six unions of three northern districts of Bangladesh; Kurigram, Gaibandha and Nilphamari.
With the slogan ‘Let Dreams Get wings’, the launching ceremony of IMAGE Plus project was held at King’s Hall of Spectra Convention Centre at Gulshan 1. The Chief Guest of the launching event was Ms Meher Afroze Chumki MP, the Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. The Guest of Honor was Her Excellency Ms Leoni Cuelenaere, Ambassador, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
IMAGE Plus is funded by Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, jointly implemented by Terre des Hommes Netherlands, RedOrange Media & Communications, Terre des hommes Foundation, SKS Foundation and Pollisree.
